Météo France placed, Sunday, May 22, 13 departments in orange vigilance to thunderstorms. The departments concerned are Gironde, Charente, Vienne, Haute-Vienne, Dordogne, Lot, Lot-et-Garonne, Corrèze, Creuse, Puy-de-Dôme, Cantal, Haute- Loire and the Loire.

Sunday morning, locally stormy showers will first cover “a large northern half of the country, without presenting a violent character”. Then in the early afternoon, new storms will form on the reliefs of Auvergne and Forez. The phenomenon will then move to the South-West, then go up towards the Centre-Loire Valley at the end of the day.
