The team was attacked with mortar fireworks around 3 p.m. during filming in the Pablo-Picasso district of Nanterre, said the same source.

No injuries are to be deplored, but nearly 300,000 euros ($430,000) of equipment was stolen.

Contacted by AFP, Netflix confirmed “the incident” and “assured that the safety of the teams is a priority”. The company added “hope to be able to resume filming soon”.

After conquering tens of millions of Netflix subscribers worldwide, Omar Sy has put on his gentleman-burglar shoes for the highly anticipated second part of Lupinefirst success made-in-France from the American giant and brought up to date with the sparkling hero created in 1905 by Maurice Leblanc.
