Six people were placed in police custody on the night of Sunday July 16 to Monday July 17, after damage to the Memorial of Fighting France, in Suresnes (Hauts-de-Seine), indicates the prefect of the department.
According to a source familiar with the matter, these six adult individuals were arrested shortly after midnight. They had thrown a bottle of soda and rubbish into the Memorial’s bronze burner, where the flame of the Resistance burns to cook marshmallows.
