In some constituencies, the National Rally has chosen not to feature the candidate running for the legislative elections. However, some of them still came out on top in the first round.
A candidate was forced to withdraw in Calvados for posing with a cap stamped with the Nazi swastika. Four days before the second round, the profile of certain candidates invested by the National Rally is raising questions. In Sarthe, few images are circulating of Céline de Cossé Brissac, candidate in the first constituency. She is not visible on her posters or in the streets. Her lack of notoriety did not prevent her from coming out on top in the first round, and qualifying for the second.
In the second constituency of Jura, Thierry Mosca (RN) will also be competing on Sunday July 7. However, he is under guardianship, which is a reason for his ineligibility. “It is not possible that we continue to have candidates who run and who are ineligible. It completely distorts an election.”deplores Marie-Christine Dalloz, candidate (Miscellaneous right) in the same constituency. Faced with the multiplication of these problematic candidacies, the party is trying to defend itself. “If they lied, they will be removed”assures Louis Aliot, the vice-president of the RN.
