Monday March 14, wearing a mask will no longer be in force in France in schools, businesses and shops. A relief for many, but some still hear of wearing it.
Mandatory mask wearing will end on Monday, March 14. On the Antibes market (Alpes-Maritimes), a trader plans to keep it. “In relation to the respect of my customers”, he explains. José Martin, dairyman in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), finds that he is “a bit early”. Some customers are indeed not entirely reassured. “If you have the mask, there are people who carry around who are always positive, who do not stay at home”says a customer.
Margaux Hurtebise, hairdresser in Paris, is afraid of falling ill. Some of these clients recently caught Covid-19, and she fears being in contact. In a primary school in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin), Virginie Solunto, teacher, will also keep her mask. “We are in contact with children who are in their family, brothers and sisters who go to college, high school, it still stirs a lot of people”she argues.
