Pierre Cordier mentioned “phone calls, certainly friendly, to tell us ‘I’m counting on you'”, without making his point explicit. Be that as it may, MP LR ensures that “the 19 LR deputies who voted to censure the government, we assume”.

“There is a break”

MP LR also believes that “in the group, we see that there is a break between the ‘Macron-compatibles and the others. I have always been part of the others”. He also explained that he did not fear any sanction from his group, which had called for a motion of censure not to be voted: “We have a group meeting tomorrow morning at 11.30 a.m. Article 3 of the functioning of our group specifies that the deputies have complete freedom over their votes.”
