An initiative launched by Richard Sédillot, lawyer specializing in the defense of human rights, Julie Couturier, president of the Paris Bar and Christiane Féral-Schuhl, former president of the National Bar Council.
“We have to support them”, continues the actress who explains that she has sought a solution for “that they hear us, to tell them that they are not alone and that we are here.” The goal was to find a “simple idea, without words” and this idea”came very naturally”. For the actress this gesture “it’s really solidarity, sorority” to tell the Iranian women that they share “their suffering”.
“It is absolutely necessary to make noise”, continues Julie Gayet who hopes that this action can help change things. She claims to have received messages “very touching” telling her that the video had been shared in Tehran, Paris, London, in the United States and the actress to add : “I even saw a tweet in Japan”surprise “by the scale and the way the video spread.”
