Installed in the Bailli’s house, the museum of the vine and the soil makes you penetrate in the universe of the wine of Saint-Pourçain: the life of the wine grower and his work. Explanations with Didier Cléret.

The museum dates from the 1980s. We owe it to John Baudier, a technician at the Union des vignerons, who recovered all the old equipment that was disappearing. He thus collected many objects exhibited today in this museum.

You will also be able to discover the construction of a pailla, an old way of managing white vines, quite widespread in the vineyards of Saint-Pourçain until the end of the 19th century.

Cuvage, press, barrel, still… don’t miss this vine and terroir museum, a favorite of our walkman!

Invented in 1978 by Mr. Gérard Dromard, a tripe maker based in Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule, the Dromard© andouillette is patented and handcrafted by the Marmitons du Roi de l’Andouillette, in the same shop where it was born. Discovery of this top-of-the-range andouillette in the company of Marc Seive, of the Marmitons du Roi de l’Andouillette.

The Dromard sausage is defatted and very digestible. It is made up of strips pulled with string and it is odorless ! It must be cooked in a frying pan with a little butter and oil, over low heat, 10 minutes on each side, without piercing or covering it. Enjoy it as simply as possible, or simply accompanied by a little cream mixed with Charroux mustard, an old-fashioned grain mustard made by craftsmen.
