The 2022 edition of the Salon de l’agriculture continues until Sunday, March 6. The newspaper from 13 Hours followed the work of a veterinarian, Clément Marhuenda.

At the Agricultural Show, 4,000 animals are exhibited on site. But there are also fifteen veterinarians for this 2022 edition, including Clément Marhuenda42, who is taking part in this great event for the seventh time. The days start early for him, long before the public arrives. And you have to keep up the pace. There are a few kilometers to do on the day casually. I’ll have lead calves in the end“, he laughs.

His first intervention of the day is a sprain for a sheep. After the diagnosis, he must fetch the equipment, the drugs and the syringes outside. The first years, I had my equipment on me and I ended up with a pretty tendonitis. So now we’re going back and forth“, he explains. Some animals are a little more suffering, but the vet assures us: of the six animals cared for on average per day, there is never anything very serious. His presence is also an opportunity for him to pass on his knowledge to students and to provide advice.
