the unexpected consequence on Star Academy bonuses!

Safety is no joke. On October 14, following the knife attack which left one dead and three injured in a high school in Arras, Élisabeth Borne triggered the “emergency attack” alert, the highest level of the Vigipirate plan. This action taken for the good of French citizens has consequences on TF1.

According to Le Parisien, the channel first decided to make a modification on the 25th edition of the NRJ Music Awards. The show will not be live but recorded in the afternoon to then be broadcast delayed on the evening of November 10. In the event of a bomb threat, for example, the production would have to evacuate everyone in the room, send in bomb squads, then reseat the audience to resume recording, which could last several hours. “Interrupting a live broadcast like this would send a message of enormous anxiety to the French” we can read. Also, the invited celebrities will not be able to walk the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.

Still according to Le Parisien, this security decision could also have an impact on Star Academy bonuses. In fact, the channel is considering adopting a similar system for the new season of Star Academy which starts this Saturday, November 4, 2023 in one of the television studios in La Plaine Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis). What poses a problem for the moment remains the famous public vote which decides the person eliminated of the week at the end of the bonus.
