The unemployment rate at 5.2% in Canada in May and at 4% in Quebec

Overall employment was little changed in May in Canada and the unemployment rate rose 0.2 percentage points to 5.2%.

Statistics Canada reports that this was the first increase in this rate since last August.

In Quebec, the unemployment rate was 4% last month.
