The two investigations for “rape of minors” targeting producer Gérard Louvin and her husband Daniel Moyne were dismissed in January, franceinfo learned Monday April 4 from the Paris prosecutor’s office.

These two investigations were opened in January and August 2021 by the Paris prosecutor’s office. The first was dismissed “due to the acquisition of the prescription of the public action”. The second, opened on facts likely to have been committed in Rio, was dismissed “due to an insufficiently characterized offense.” At the time, according to The Parisianthe investigations were launched after testimony accusing the couple of sex tourism in Brazil in 2004.

In January 2021, in a press release, the Louvin-Moyne couple denounced “false accusations”, after at least three complaints for “rape of minors” filed, in particular by Gérard Louvin’s nephew. The facts denounced date from the 1980s and 1990s.
