The two baby pandas at Beauval Zoo, born in August 2021, will be visible to visitors from December 11, France Bleu Touraine reports Thursday, December 2.
Visitors will be able to admire the Yuandudu and Huanlili binoculars, who begin to walk, through the large picture windows of the panda gallery. “Very active and playful”, according to the zoo, the two female pandas “spend a lot of time heckling together”.
Since the arrival of the giant pandas in 2011, attendance at Beauval Zoo, in Saint-Aignan (Loir-et-Cher), has been on the rise. The park attracted 600,000 visitors in 2011. It will have welcomed 1.4 million in 2021, despite the health crisis which led to the closure of the zoo for several months. In 2019, 1.6 million visitors came.
