The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is asking for the public’s help to find a man who escaped from the Federal Training Center, a minimum security detention facility, in Laval.
Yacine Zouaoui, aged 32, reportedly escaped from the detention center located on Montée Saint-François on Thursday evening. The man was incarcerated for homicide.
The man is 6 feet, 1 inch (1.85 meters) tall, weighs 186 pounds (84 kilograms), has black hair, brown eyes, and speaks English. He also has a teardrop tattoo under his left eye, and three dots on his left hand.
“The man was last seen wearing a light colored top, jeans and black sneakers. He would travel on foot, but could try to request transport,” the SQ indicated in a press release.
Some information suggests the individual may be in the Ontario region.

The police are asking anyone who sees him to call 911 and not approach the man.
