PSG won by the narrowest of margins against Rennes in the Coupe de France semi-finals on Wednesday, thanks to a goal from Kylian Mbappé.
Paris joins Lyon in the final of the Coupe de France. After OL qualified the day before against Valenciennes, the Parisians won against Rennes on Wednesday March 3 (1-0). The capital club logically dominated the game, and monopolized the ball (70% possession), leaving few opportunities for the muddled Rennais in the zone of truth. If they did not lose with a higher score, the Bretons can thank their goalkeeper, Steve Mandanda, author of numerous saves against Kylian Mbappé, including one from a penalty (37th).
PSG’s star striker still had the last word with a goal on a blocked shot a few minutes later (40th). The Parisians have a 26th consecutive match without defeat and are confident before their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Barcelona, Wednesday March 10.
