Winners two goals to one against the Lyonnais who were overwhelmed in the first period, the Parisians achieved a deserved success on Saturday.
You had to be serious to end the season on a good note, the Parisians did not fail. Faced with euphoric Lyonnais following their qualification for the European Cup after a long very complicated season, PSG won in Lille (2-1), in the final of the French Cup, Saturday May 25.
Thanks to goals from Ousmane Dembélé (22nd) and Fabian Ruiz (34th), Luis Enrique’s players reigned supreme over the first 45 minutes, returning to the locker room with only two goals ahead because of the exploits of Lucas Perri in the Lyon goal. In the second half, after several missed opportunities by PSG, OL ended up reducing the score with a nice header from Jake O’Brien from a corner (55th). Insufficient, however, to overthrow a Parisian team that was well established and did not panic after the opponent’s goal, finishing the match by mastering its subject.
