He is the favorite dog of Lorraine. The Australian Shepherd is all the rage in the region. Small, it looks like a stuffed toy, it’s hard not to fall for it. He is a dog with a sweet character, with a lot of energy to spare. Emmanuelle, owner of Ulan, a sixteen-month-old Australian Shepherd, chose this breed because she really wanted to travel. “As I know they are very active dogs, I thought it would be perfect”she confides.
A herding dog
Flexible, agile, it is the result of a cross between Basque shepherds and Australian dogs. In the 1900s, crossbreeding made it a herding dog in the United States. The breed is attractive in many ways.
