The journalist presented the set on which the second round debate will take place, explaining: “This is where the debate between the candidate president Emmanuel Macron and the far-right candidate, Marine Le Pen, will take place.”

Following this, the journalist launched a magneto in which the director of the 2017 debate returned to the problems he had encountered during his production at the time. It was after the magneto that the tone rose between Mohamed Bouhafsi and Philippe Ballard. “Philippe Ballard, Marine Le Pen had missed her debate in 2017, she had confided that she regretted having been so aggressive and having attacked her opponent more than defending her own program…” asked the journalist before being cut off by his interlocutor.

“So already I would like to take you back because it is not the far-right candidate who will face Emmanuel Macron tomorrow. Because the far right has a precise definition anyway. We refute the parliamentary regime…”Mohamed Bouhafsi then trying to speak again, retorted: “You refute the theme…”. But once again, the RN spokesperson did not let him finish and defended himself: “Far-right yes. Because a far-right party refutes a parliamentary regime. A far-right party is a party that exercises violence. Do we practice violence? We, activists , we are victims of violence. It is a party which refuses the debate. Are we refusing the debate. It is therefore not a representative of a far-right party”. It remains to be seen whether this defense has convinced the opponents…
