This Friday, February 23, 2024 will be an important date for Sylvain Duthu and all the fans of the singer of the group Boulevard of the air. Indeed, the 36-year-old artist, on this date, will release his very first solo album as well as a single called Prologue. If this project is important for the fans, it is just as important for its author. Especially since the latter went through two years of hardship after a serious road accident.
Indeed, on September 25, 2021, Sylvain Duthu and his partner saw their lives flash by when a drunken motorist, who tried to escape the police, collided head-on with the artist’s vehicle. “The evening of the last concert of the tour in Bordeaux, I came home with my partner, a friend and our little cousin. We were stopped at a red light when a drunk driver who was trying to escape the police hit us head-on”he confided to our colleagues at The Dispatch

Following the accident, his partner had “the pulverized arm”. Sylvain Duthu, he was “less affected” physically but it still took several months “to get over it.” “During this period, I found myself facing myself. When things were better, we left Tarbes, left Paris and moved near the ocean. We needed some air”, he continued. But this long convalescence allowed him to write his project which will be released this Friday, February 23, 2024.
Indeed, the member of the group Boulevard of the air started writing his solo album “in May 2021”, before joining the label Sooner or later. A label that he has always dreamed of joining since his childhood because he “home to many artists” of which he is a fan “like Vincent Delerm or Vianney”.
In this project, fans will be able to discover a clip that the artist made with his partner: “We completed the first clip that I was able to write and direct, with my partner. We are preparing the second. It will be the completion of two years of work”. A completion and the opportunity to turn the page after this terrible tragedy.
