Could the Russians soon launch a first major offensive in the Odessa region? The point, Saturday August 6, with the journalist Naoufel El Kaouafi.
The Odessa region, located in the southwest of Ukraine, could soon be attacked by the Russians. “For the past few days, long convoys of Russian military trucks, but also tanks, have been moving away from Donbass and approaching (…) the south-west of the country”reports the journalist Naoufel El Kaouafi, live from Odessa (Ukraine), Saturday August 6th. “We must see in this a desire on the part of Russia to move forward as quickly as possible in this region, in particular before the Ukrainian counter-offensive”he adds.
The bombings have “intensified” in the region for a few days, notes Naoufel El Kaouafi, in particular on the side of Kherson (Ukraine) or Mykolaiv (Ukraine), a city located “only a hundred kilometers from Odessa”. It is therefore the concern that reigns, in the evening of Saturday August 6th. “An advance towards the south-west of the country by Russian forces (…) could considerably weaken the agreement on the export of cereals”concludes Naoufel El Kaouafi.
