Sunday around 8 p.m., the electrical transformer near the EHPAD le Méridien in Ruoms in southern Ardèche caught fire for undetermined reasons. This caused a general power outage throughout the EHPAD.
Six residents who were on respirators were evacuated.
According to the firefighters, ENEDIS is trying to bring a generator to restore power and avoid a general evacuation of the EHPAD.
There are no injuries.
