The refuge of La Pra in Revel

THE REFUGE DE LA Pra in the town of Revel

Following a landslide above Lac du Crozet on the GR738, the climb from Pré Raymond to the refuge via Lac du Crozet is currently prohibited. The town hall of Revel has filed a municipal decree pending the expertise of geologists. This decree concerns since June 16 only the crossing of the lake of crozet on the GR738, the ascent to the lake or to the col du loup is authorized.

You can get around this path via three climbing options: either from Chamrousse (starting from Le Recoin or La Croix de Chamrousse with the gondola), or from the Cascade de l’Oursière.

The Pra refuge is at 2100 meters, it currently takes 5 hours to walk to access because the initial normal walk (3 hours) is no longer accessible for the moment.

The building can accommodate 76 beds, above a mountain pasture, with waterfalls under the refuge, beautiful landscapes, which are reminiscent of Corsica. (without the sea)

Known summit near the refuge is the Belledonne cross which will take us for a nice 3 hour walk all the same. (from the shelter)

A refuge building isolated from the electricity network, so winter storage and open until September 19 and closed until April.
