Wednesday, May 4, in the early morning, socialists and rebels reached an agreement in principle for the PS to join the New Popular Ecological and Social Union. Explanations.

They finally came to an agreement. The Socialist Party and La France insoumise have found common ground for the legislative elections. In Poitiers, left-wing voters see this probable coalition rather favorably. “I find it good that there is a united left. It should have been done in the first round of the presidential election”assures a resident.

Two days and two nights of intense discussions were held at the headquarters of La France insoumise. All to reach an agreement in principle. This plans to leave 70 constituencies to the Socialist Party. Wednesday, May 4 in the morning, the teams of Jean-Luc Mélenchon are pleased with the outcome of the negotiations. “What is happening is something historic. Yes it took time, it’s true, but at the same time, no one thought that in four days we would be able to bring together four formations policies under a common banner”, welcomes Manuel Bombard, MEP La France insoumise. The PS must still validate this agreement during a national political office.
