In Israel, families of hostages are mobilizing and want to know more about potential negotiations. While exchanges are reportedly being considered between Israel and Hamas, two bodies were found near Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza.
The face of Yehudit Weiss, 65, and Noa Marciano, 19. These two women were kidnapped on the same day, and brought back to Israel on Thursday, November 16. On Friday afternoon, Noa’s soldier friends carried his coffin. “Our heads and our hearts refuse to believe it. Since this black Saturday, we have had no respite”cries Adi Marciano, his mother.
Negotiations in progress
Yehudit Weiss, like Noa Marciano, was kidnapped from Kibbutz Be’eri. Sick with cancer, this maternal assistance would have been killed from the first day. “For you, it’s already too late. But for the other families, it’s urgent. We have to bring them home”, said Yehudit Weiss’ brother. The remains were found in a building near Al-Shifa Hospital (Gaza).
According to the Israeli army, it serves as a command center for Hamas, which denies this. On the hostages, negotiations are underway. Hamas is reportedly demanding a five-day truce to free 20 to 50 women and children. Israel refuses this deadline, and does not want a piecemeal release.
