The publisher François Hébert is dead

The editor and co-founder of the publishing house Les Herbes Rouges, François Hébert, died Saturday in the Verdun borough, in Montreal, at the age of 73.

In 1968, with his brother Marcel Hébert, he founded the review red herbs. It was 10 years later that he founded the publishing house which occupied an important place in the world of poetry, Les Herbes Rouges.

François Hébert remained editor until his death. After the death of his brother in 2007, he remained alone at the head of the publishing house until 2017, when he began to collaborate with the editor and writer Roxane Desjardins.

Mme Desjardins has been Managing Director of Éditions Les Herbes Rouges since April 2021.
