Former RC Lens general manager Arnaud Pouille will be appointed in his place, according to information from France Bleu Armorique.

The president of Stade Rennais Olivier Cloarec was dismissed from his position by the Pinault family, owner of the Breton football club, France Bleu Armorique learned on Friday, confirming information from the newspaper West France. He has held this position since 2022.
According to information from France Bleu Armorique, the former general director of RC Lens Arnaud Pouille will be appointed in his place. He left the Sang et Or club in June. Olivier Cloarec has been paying for the poor sporting results at Stade Rennais for several weeks. Before the reception of Monaco on Saturday, the club is in 10th place in the Ligue 1 standings, with three defeats, a draw and only two victories.
Olivier Cloarec, with recognized administrative management but sometimes contested leadership in high places, arrived at Stade Rennais as deputy general manager in 2021, before becoming president in 2022. An appointment following the illness of Nicolas Holveck. He joined the club’s board of directors this summer.
His replacement Arnaud Pouille was director of RC Lens between 2017 and June 2024. Under his leadership, the club rose to Ligue 1, before qualifying for the Champions League. Arnaud Pouille was nevertheless criticized at the end of his mandate over his financial management. Its leaders notably believed that the Lens payroll had exploded under his leadership.
