The day after the Hamas attack on Israel, the Hebrew State, through its Prime Minister, assured that “this war would be long and difficult”. The citizens of the country are in a state of shock.
Israeli media have relayed dozens of photos of missing men and women. A distressed mother testifies on national television after images of her son, terrorized and in the grip of Hamas, circulated. A young Franco-Israeli, who took part in a rave party, would also be one of the hostages. “We know that there are nearly 2,000 people taken hostage, including this young man born in Bordeaux”indicates Meyer Habib, deputy for the constituency of French people living abroad.
Israeli civilians targeted
Some people, like this father, were able to find their child safe and sound. Israeli civilians have been targeted. Inert bodies are scattered everywhere on a main road. “I consulted the Internet, I saw that the terrorists were infiltrated. I went out and I saw many bodies of civilians and terrorists,” reports a witness. In Sderot, many victims have also been reported.
