In the polling stations, Saturday, April 9, it was time for final preparations before welcoming voters on Sunday for the first round of the presidential election.
With voting booths, chairs and tables, a school is transformed, Saturday, April 9, into a polling station. In addition, masks and hydroalcoholic gel are available. Sunday April 10, for the first round of the presidential election, everyone can vote, with or without a mask, even with Covid-19.
The ballot papers are there, each office receives a precise quantity of them, according to the number of voters. “We are going to secure the ballot papers from the offices”, indicates Thierry Cours, logistics department of the city of Muret (Haute-Garonne). A female registrar then inspects the premises, to check the spacing of the tables and the presence of a voting booth for disabled people. “We have to make sure that everything goes for the best (…) to encourage people to vote”explains Solange Meysonnet, head of the civil status service at Muret.
