Almost six years after the death of Amadou Koumé, three police officers from the BAC will be brought back to justice. They are judged for having practiced dangerous gestures within the framework of the immobilization of the man, finally died following asphyxiation.
In 2015, in a Parisian bar, Amadou Koumé, a 33-year-old father, settled down and ordered a beer. Under the influence of cocaine, the individual appears nervous. Following a call from the owner of the establishment, the police intervened for the first time without success, before calling for reinforcements. It is these reinforcements who will take action in a brutal way, practicing a choke key and tackling Amadou Koumé to the ground for 6 minutes and 30 seconds. When they arrived at the 10th arrondissement police station, the arrested individual was in respiratory arrest. He will be declared dead due to edema linked to asphyxiation.
Later, it was noted that the techniques used by the BAC police officers are dangerous for the health of the individuals arrested and that the ventral tackle should be carried out as short as possible.
