In the heart of the Brenne natural park, the naturist campsite of La Petite Brenne, in Luzeret, in the south of Indre, welcomes lovers of nature and conviviality. This year, many foreign but also French campers met there. Everyone wants to take advantage of this break of a few days to live to the rhythm of the philosophy of naturism.
Among the oaks, tents, caravans or small chalets installed on 150 pitches. Charlotte Burgmans is the co-manager with her father of the 42-hectare campsite founded by her parents in 1996. “They were looking for a place, a small haven of peace so they chose the Brenne natural park which corresponded very well to their expectations. It is a protected area, a haven of calm with many animals and nature”she says.
It is not nudity that prevails but nature, respect
Charlotte Burgmans and her family want to cultivate this naturist way of life. “Nudism is really based on nature. It’s not nudity that takes precedence but nature, respect. These are people who are very open to others. It’s very family-like, we all feel united”she explains.
A clientele mainly from the Nordic countries
Among the campers, many come from the Netherlands or Belgium. “They are looking for space and they have an openness to naturism which is often passed on from parents to children”, analyzes Charlotte Burgmans. Some French tourists also find themselves here. Thierry fell in love with camping six years ago, since then he returns every year with his family with his sons and his wife to “the freedom to forget all social codes”. “We treat each other as equals, without prejudice. We don’t play a character, we are ourselves. We are all made the same, there are tall, short, fat, skinny and we don’t don’t judge, we go beyond this a priori”rejoices, this Limousin.
Campers have the choice between many activities such as horseback riding, mosaic workshops but also music concerts organized every week. Campers who often come for several generations.
Question budget, depending on the season count for two adults between 21 and 37 euros for the night for a tent site and up to 500 euros per week for the rental of one of the chalets of the campsite in high season. All activities are included.
