Convoys of protesters head for Paris to demonstrate against health restrictions. The prefect of police decided, on the morning of Thursday, February 10, to prohibit any gathering. Before him, the Minister of the Interior was already promising an extremely firm response.

In Montpellier (Hérault), a few cars and two-wheelers took the start on Thursday February 10, under the encouragement of those who cannot make the trip, and are heading towards the capital to protest against the vaccination pass. “I go to Paris and Brussels for that, to recover my freedom”, says a woman. In Brest (Finistère), a handful of motorhomes set off in the rain. After a night in the car, breakfast was organized in the parking lot, in Avignon (Vaucluse).

In Bordeaux (Gironde) as elsewhere, the participants are looking for a collective momentum, and moments of sharing. According to the intelligence services, the movement would still be unstructured. Due to the risk of disturbing public order, the Paris police headquarters has banned demonstrations, from Friday February 11 to Monday February 14, inclusive. The ban does not seem to taint the determination of the participants. On a roundabout in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), some already have a plan B. “We are going to avoid Paris. The objective is to go to Brussels”explains a man.
