The “Oui pub” sticker tested in 174 municipalities in Drôme and Ardèche

No more “Stop advertising” on mailboxes for a third of households in Drôme and Ardèche from this Thursday, September 1st. From now on, it is those who want to continue to receive flyers who will have to indicate this by affixing a “Oui pub” sticker. The objective of the experiment which begins this Thursday in 11 test areas in France is to reduce waste. In fact, 44% of people never open the advertisements they receive in their mailboxes.

Two household waste management unions are taking part in it in Drôme-Ardèche: Sictoba in the far south of Ardèche with these 56 municipalities and Sytrad, which is carrying out the test on part of its territory, i.e. 118 municipalities on the agglomeration of Valence-Romans, Royans-Vercors, the country of Crest and the region of Cheylard.

The “Oui Pub” sticker is available in the town halls concerned, in recycling centers and you can also make it yourself. Those who don’t want publicity have nothing to do. This only applies to printed advertisements. The magazines of the municipalities or departments will continue to be distributed.
