The Orchester Métropolitain returns to Carnegie Hall

After a successful first visit to Carnegie Hall in 2019, OM will be back in 2024 in the legendary New York hall.


For the occasion, the Orchester Métropolitain, conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin, will perform a New York premiere of a work by cellist and composer Cris Derksen. Of Cree origin, this artist from northern Alberta is recognized for her sound mix that brings together classical influences, Aboriginal music and sound experimentation.

will follow the Piano Concerto No. 2 by Rachmaninoff, which will feature pianist Tony Siqi Yun. There Symphony No. 2 by Sibelius will also be on the program.

Please note: the Metropolitan Orchestra’s visit to New York is scheduled for March 6, 2024, the day of the 49e birthday of its main boss.

Non-subscription tickets for this concert will go on sale on August 14.
