“The one who should be ashamed is the Minister of the Interior,” says Marion Maréchal

“The one who should be ashamed is the Minister of the Interior”, attack Wednesday, October 26 on France Inter Marion Maréchal, vice-president of the Reconquête! party, concerning the murder of Lola, 12, killed in Paris on October 14. She accuses Gérald Darmanin of “indirectly bear responsibility” in the death of the young girl, considering that “French law has not been properly respected” since the main suspect, of Algerian nationality, “was illegally on French territory” despite an obligation to leave the territory “at the time of the tragedy”.

“Not only is he not ashamed but, moreover, he spits in the face of those, including myself, who tried to shed light on this affair”, continues Marion Maréchal. While the extreme right is accused of lending itself to an exercise in “political recovery”Marion Maréchal “don’t believe there is any indecency” in the actions and words of his party.

“If it hadn’t been for people like the members of Reconquest to put pressure on the government, to talk about this subject despite the injunction to silence, it would have been only a line of fact- miscellaneous additional in the press.”

“We were right to talk about it, we were right to make this rally”defends Marion Maréchal, in reference to the demonstrations organized last week at the call of several far-right movements, while the family of the teenager had called for “respect and dignity”, away from any political turmoil. The vice-president of the Reconquest party! refers to gatherings “citizens”, “with dignity and discretion”. She claims that he is “her duty as a mother and as a political leader to denounce this drama, to ask for answers and to point out responsibilities”.

“The obsession of the media is to talk about political recoveries, a domain name and a website, when a little girl has been massacred”adds Marion Maréchal, about the domain names bought by her party for, she assures, “to ensure that all the gatherings in France can be compiled on the same page and thus allow the French to mobilize as much as possible”. If the vice-president of Reconquête! recognizes that “it was awkward”, she ensures that “It started with a very good intention”.

Marion Maréchal assures that she does not regret anything, convinced that “this political pressure” forced the government to “to announce that henceforth persons of foreign nationality committing crimes on French territory would be expelled”. “Let’s wait for the actions, but it’s still a small victory and fortunately we were there to allow this victory”she concludes.
