The Rock en Seine festival reveals on Wednesday November 29 the first 16 names of the groups which will perform at the Domaine National de Saint-Cloud in Hauts-de-Seine from August 22 to 25, 2024. Among them, we find in particular LCD Soundsystem, Massive Attack, Maneskin, PJ Harvey, The Offspring, The Hives, The Kills and Zaho de Sagazan, revelation of French song in 2023.
Massive Attack and PJ Harvey were already on the bill for the very first edition, in 2003, which is justified by the festival director: “We are going to write a new page for the festival, but keeping the good and beautiful of the past”, promises franceinfo Matthieu Ducos. He estimates that “the presence of these two artists shows that we want to see them on stage and that Rock en Seine still wants to address its loyal audience”.
The organizers also confirm that the 20th edition of the festival will take place on the usual dates with the same capacity of 160,000 spectators, despite the Olympic and Paralympic Games which will be held next summer in Paris. On this occasion, “the festival will design a whole program linked to this event labeled Cultural Olympiad, alongside four other major cultural festivals: the Angoulême International Comics Festival, the Cannes Festival, the Avignon Festival and the Photographic meetings in Arles”. The general ticket office will open Friday December 1 at 12 p.m., on the festival website.
