>> Pension reform: who are the nine Elders of the Constitutional Council who will decide on the law?

The Constitutional Council will make its decision on Friday on the admissibility of the request for a shared initiative referendum (RIP) on pensions initiated by the Communist deputies in mid-March. A communist deputy admits to France Inter that he has weaknesses: “We had to move quickly, before the law was promulgated”.

Doubts shared by the constitutionalist Bastien François: “The question concerns the way the RIP is written”, he explained to France Inter on April 10. The RIP proposal aims “to affirm that the legal retirement age cannot be set beyond 62 years”. Gold, “it reproduces the existing law, there is no reform”.
