The 2024 Nobel Prize in Economics was awarded to Americans Daron Acemoglu, Simon Johnson and James A. Robinson on Monday October 14 for their work on how institutions, in the long term, facilitate or hinder economic prosperity. This is the last Nobel of the season after those announced last week.
