Iranian journalist Narges Mohammadi received the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday October 6 for her fight against the oppression of women in her country. She is, for the moment, imprisoned by the Tehran regime.

It was from Evin prison in Tehran (Iran) that Narges Mohammadi received the news. She received the Nobel Peace Prize for her fight against the oppression of women and human rights in Iran. “The Nobel Peace Prize makes me even more determined. I will stay in Iran and I will continue even if I have to spend the rest of my life in prison“, she reacted from her cell.

She talks about life in Iranian prisons

The 51-year-old journalist has spent the past 20 years in and out of cells, from where she tells the world about life in Iranian prisons. A symbolic reward, while for a year the Islamic regime of Iran has been fighting a popular protest unprecedented since the death of Mahsa Amini, killed by the moral police. A few weeks ago, to mark the anniversary, Narges Mohammadi and her fellow inmates burned their veils in the prison courtyard.
