The Nice Jazz Festival poster revisited by 41 artists

The original poster for the 2022 edition of the Nice Jazz Festival, held last July, mixed music and the Mediterranean with a sax, a palm tree and the sea. metamorphosis. All delivered their own version. The strokes of pencils and brushes are different, but the achievements each have one thing in common: the love of music.

None of these 41 posters are alike. Each artist has played the game of rehabilitation with their own sensitivity, sometimes highlighting stars who have climbed the festival stage this year.

“I made a dress in the colors of Europe, with the stars which are a song by Melody Gardot. The stars turned into flowers and as I am a musician, there are the first two bars of the European anthem “says @Mulia.

Jacky Ananou focused on Iggy Pop, the godfather of American punk who literally set the festival on fire last July. “He has a head to draw. I like faces that are a bit ravaged.”

Thanks to these creations, visitors can relive in images and colors, some great moments of the festival, the oldest jazz festival in the world. It is also an opportunity to highlight the work of local artists. Among them, Ben, Gabriel Martinez and Patrick Moya, but also names less known to the general public.

These 41 creations were exhibited for the first time on the Nice Jazz Festival site last July.
