The Russian Supreme Court ordered the dissolution of the NGO Memorial. This organization denounces the crimes against human rights committed during the time of the USSR and the current repression of all dissent under the regime of Vladimir Putin. A regime that even wants to rehabilitate Stalin! This dissolution must be denounced bluntly. A difficult question, however, arises for any country that believes in human rights at all: how to deal with a leader like Putin, how to trust him in the slightest? The answer is not obvious, but it is probably better to keep the channels of communication open, all without illusions. This is how our world goes, where the freedom and dignity of the person are always in danger. Yes ! A very sad end of the year.
