On the left, an agreement was reached with a view to the legislative elections. The New Popular Front presented its program on the morning of Friday June 14.
The New Popular Front agreement was signed on the evening of Thursday June 13. On Friday morning, party representatives gave a conference to detail their future roadmap. The agreement includes “unique candidacies across all constituencies“, specified Manuel Bompard, the coordinator of France Insoumise.
Among the measures is the increase in wages in line with inflation, the freezing of fuel, food and energy prices, as well as the repeal of the pension reform, insurance -unemployment and immigration.
Even Raphaël Glucksmann finally announced, in the morning, that he would support the alliance. In Montrouge (Hauts-de-Seine), where he came in first with more than 23%, some of his voters are however skeptical. One of them admits that he “would have difficulty if the candidate is labeled LFI”and would vote “rather Renaissance”. The 577 Popular Front candidates are now entering the campaign.
