The 13 Hours teams have decided to retrace the footsteps of the dream destinations that marked the year of JT. In Namibia, in the oldest desert in the world, the proximity of the dunes to the ocean offers a breathtaking landscape.

The sun is rising over the Namib Desert (Namibia) and a team is busy around a huge nylon canvas. The employees of a specialized agency have been organizing balloon flights over the desert for more than ten years. This morning, the customers are Namibians, come to discover the gems that surround them. The desert stretches for 1,500 kilometers and it is this which gave its name to the country. “If you stay long enough in the wilderness you can hear him speak“, testifies a Namibian.

A few hundred meters further on, the scenery changes completely. Here, the desert takes on relief. Huge thousand-year-old sand dunes shape a breathtaking landscape. To the west, the dunes fall into the Atlantic Ocean. “The roar of the dunes is like an avalanche“, says a Namibian guide.
