“The mysterious investigation of princess chouquette” by Mim and Romain Guyard

I offer you today a really nice book. Just the title already: “The mysterious investigation of princess chouquette”. It is a story of Mim illustrated by Romain Guyard and published by Fleurus.

I’ll tell you a little about the plot: Princess Chouquette is annoyed. Imagine that in her castle of a thousand delights, she realizes that Crumb is gone! Miette is Princess Chouquette’s little cat.

Princess Chouquette will therefore embark on the investigation, by disrupting the work of Chef Millefeuille, who is busy preparing 200 pancakes to taste, to the chagrin of Dame Tatin, his housekeeper. But no one saw her. Not even King Babaorum …

Without revealing the end, I said all the same that everything will be fine for little Miette.

The story is cute, but the book itself is very cool too. As always at Fleurus, we go well beyond the simple pleasure of reading. Throughout the pages, the child will open “flaps”, that is to say, small tabs, small flaps, under which are hidden, either a clue, or a thought, or a further conversation.

It’s very playful and very cute. The story is beautiful, very nice, colorful and lively illustrations.

A word from the author! Mim is a translator of sixty books and has embarked on writing and that’s good because she has a lot of talent and success.

Romain Guyard is the illustrator. His biography specifies that he is the father of the pretty “Fairy crayons” and the valiant knight “Keskecé”. An entire program ! He therefore had his place in this pretty story.
