“The more constraints we put, the fewer general practitioners we will have”, warns this Thursday, October 20 on franceinfo the president of the first union of general practitioners MG France. Agnès Giannotti reacts to the amendment proposed by deputies from all sides as part of the examination of the Social Security finance bill (PLFSS). They plead for more coercive measures on the installation of doctors in order to fight against medical deserts.

“If these measures are taken, elected officials will have ignored our warningassures Dr. Agnès Giannotti. We can discourage 10,000 general practitioners who will leave overnight. They will fill their pockets on the platforms in unscheduled care centers, which are very lucrative and where no one will force them.

Furthermore, the president of MG France “laughs” the agreement between the different Orders on the sharing of tasks, which would allow, for example, nurses and physiotherapists to carry out acts hitherto reserved only for doctors. “We, the unions, were not consulted” , explains Agnès Giannotti. She claims “a frame” to establish these new rules: “It’s up to us to see how we work together. In direct access, in autonomy and without link with the general practitioner, it is not possible. You need a course of care.”
