Several hundred firefighters fought all afternoon on Wednesday July 5, 2023 in Aude. Significant resources were deployed to put an end to this fire which broke out on the town of Montredon-des-Corbières. The images published by civil security are impressive.

AT 4 p.m., 120 hectares had been covered. 260 firefighters were deployed, as well as four canadairs and two water bomber helicopters. The evolution was favorable at Montredon-des-Corbières and the forest of Fontfroide, where the bulk of the effort was concentrated.

At 5:45 p.m., firefighters announced that the fire was fixed. The fire covered 120 hectares, 103 burned in total.
