An embarrassing affair. Appointed Minister of Culture in July 2023, Rachida Dati is indicted for “corruption” And “Bribery” in the Renault-Nissan affair. The mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Paris received 900,000 euros from the automobile group between 2010 and 2012. The nature of her activity is of interest to the justice system. According to the minister’s defense, she was officiating in Morocco. A version contradicted by the courts, as revealed by the Radio France investigation unit.
“Justice has not found material elements, evidence, which would show that Rachida Dati went to Morocco, worked in Morocco for Renault”, describes journalist Élodie Guéguen. The minister assured investigators that she had helped the French manufacturer establish itself in Morocco. Assertions not confirmed by several witnesses interviewed by Radio France. The minister’s lawyers did not respond to interview requests.
