The origins of Gru, the main character of the saga
The film goes back to the beginnings of Gru, the endearing failed villain of this saga who, as a teenager and surrounded by an army of Minions, seeks to join a group of supervillains, the Vicious 6. A project that will inevitably go off the rails. In their French version, the characters are notably dubbed by Claudia Tagbo, Gad Elmaleh and Gerard Darmon.
A sensational start in the United States, after two years of waiting
This latest installment in the Minions saga has thundering debuts in American cinemas, reaching the top of the box office upon its release. The broadcast of the film had been postponed by two years by Universal because of the pandemic. Since the first part of “Despicable Me”, released in 2010, the series has brought back a trifle of $3.7 billion at the box office.
