It’s not April Fool’s Day: the snow is playing spoilsport at the start of spring. Initially scheduled for Saturday at 9 p.m., the match counting for the 30th day of Ligue 1 between AS Saint-Etienne and Olympique de Marseille has been postponed due to weather conditions, the Greens club said on Saturday April 2. After hours of discussions, the meeting was finally scheduled for Sunday April 3 at 3 p.m.
The meteorological conditions in the Saint-Etienne region did not allow the maintenance of#ASSEOM this Saturday night.
The LFP has therefore decided to postpone the meeting, which is now, and officially, set for tomorrow.

The heavy snowfall since Friday makes access difficult at the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium when the match must be sold out (42,000 spectators expected). The meeting should thus take place on Sunday, April 3. “The final schedule will be communicated quickly”, specified ASSE before adding a few minutes later that “the possibility of a postponement to a later week cannot be ruled out“.
