It’s not April Fool’s Day: the snow is playing spoilsport at the start of spring. Initially scheduled for Saturday at 9 p.m., the match counting for the 30th day of Ligue 1 between AS Saint-Etienne and Olympique de Marseille has been postponed for a day due to weather conditions, the Greens club said on Saturday 2 April.
The heavy snowfall since Friday makes access difficult at the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium when the match must be sold out (42,000 spectators expected). The match will take place on Sunday, April 3. “The final schedule will be communicated quickly”, ASSE said.
Given the difficulties of access to the Geoffroy-Guichard stadium, the LFP has decided, in agreement with all the parties involved in the organization of the match, to postpone #ASSEOMscheduled for this Saturday, see you tomorrow Sunday, April 3.
