On the social network X, around ten people reported the cancellation of tickets that were to allow them to access the opening ceremony on Friday July 26, while the The first spectators arrived around 3:30 p.m. on the banks of the Seine.

Erwan Dubos, a special needs educator, was due to go with three young people to the platforms for the occasion. A few hours before the start of the ceremony, the social worker had the unpleasant surprise of discovering that the tickets had been cancelled, without explanation. The four of them showed up on the platforms anyway, hoping that the error would be resolved in the meantime. Access, initially refused, was finally granted to them, their places “having been found from the ticketing machine”he rejoices to franceinfo.

Julien Gouesmat was due to attend the ceremony with three other people, who had come from the east and south of France for the occasion. “Our tickets have just been deleted for no reason”he lamented on X Friday morning.

“Contacts with customer services have not been very fruitful in terms of information,” says the latter, contacted by franceinfo.“We are still going to the ceremony and will try to see if we can get in,” he continues.

“We finally managed to get back, the police were understanding”he said in a relieved message sent just under two hours before the start of the festivities.

Other messages reporting cancellations have been observed on the social network X in recent days, some dating back to the end of June. Contacted, the ticketing service did not respond to our request.

Contacted by BFMTV at midday, the Paris 2024 help and reception center spoke for its part “a technical bug that had already occurred several weeks ago and which should be resolved shortly.”
